As we were biking up to the Peterborough Lift we saw a group of Loopers who left the Peterborough Marina earlier Tuesday morning. Perfect timing. In this lock we know Bade Boomer, Seamoore, as well as Jeremiah.
This is what the lift looks like when it is all the way up and you are looking down. There are windows on the back wall so you can peak through and see the boats being lifted. The windows are along the road that cuts through the lock.

The lift is over on the left. Yes, that is a roadway that goes through the lock!
After saying goodbye to our buddies we headed back down and saw more Loopers. So, we stayed and chatted and took more pictures. Scarecrow, Muddy Waters and Shenanigans locked through together.
Scarecrow, the cutest 28 foot boat. It is alot of boat for its size. She has one engine as well as bow and stern thrusters.

The next two pictures were taken from the window half way up the lock. We got a little wet but it was worth it.
We are back at the top waiting for the gate to drop and the boats to parade out of the lock.
We said our goodbyes and hope to see these Loopers again on our journey. This lock looks like fun and we will be ready to tackle it on Saturday or Sunday.
