Gannon Narrows to Fenelon Falls

We were underway by 8:30am. We had lock 32, Bobcaygeon, in 8 miles and Fenelon Falls on our minds. Today would be a short day of 20 miles compared to the 70 miles we covered from Peterborough to Gannon Narrows. Below are pictures from Pigeon Lake before Bobcaygeon.

I picked up a Grasshopper while on the bow taking pictures of more houses with cool boathouses.

Traffic picks up the closer we get to Bobcaygeon.

Lock 32 Bobcaygeon was busy by the time we arrived at 10:30 am. We were all snug in the lock with a total of 6 boats. The last houseboat bumped the houseboat in front of it due to bad driving. I am glad he wasn't behind us.

After Bobcaygeon we were on Sturgeon Lake.

We liked the rock man.

The wall was full down here as well as up top. We attached ourselves to some posts and walked up to get some lunch in town. On our way we spotted Rock Chalk heading for the blue line.

These are the largest crowds we have seen so far to watch boats locking. We were at the Pizza and Ice Cream shop for lunch and we waited for Rock Chalk to rise to the top of the lock. Paisley and I went over to wave good bye and wish them safe travels.

After Rock Chalk exited the lock quickly filled up with small craft.  The lockmasters crammed all the little boats together with three rows. The boat going down the middle is being pushed back and forth from the outside boaters. Glad it is him and not me.

Our view of the lock from the bow of Inconceivable on the free wall.

The blue line is full as boats continue to fill up the waterway. They are all dancing while waiting for the locks to open.

The cruise ship Hiawatha is coming out of the lock. She has the right of way and all boats move out of her way.

After Hiawatha is out of the lock area we head over to catch the next lock.

Fenelon Falls added a new wall this season. For $12.80 for each 30 amp you get hydro, water, and Wi-Fi! Canadians know how to keep the money in the town by keeping charges for docking down to a minimum.

The water has been warm and so clear! Its like swimming in a pool. The kids are having a blast.
