March 5 and 6

Godo, Pappap, and Max came down for a visit. We were all very excited and had a surprise that unfortunately, backfired. The surprise was a new set of stairs. The downside is that our stairs go all the way across our finger pier. We are waiting for a new part to arrive shortly so we can board the boat safer. Poor Max has to be lifted up to get on and off the boat. A fun job for Andrew. Saturday was a nice day.  The kids had a fun time swimming in the pool at the hotel.  We saw lots of kids running around the hotel and found out that there was a Junior First Regional Event  in the convention center attached to the hotel. We had fun looking at all of the exhibits. We missed seeing the robots in competition.
After that we headed back into the city and all of us and Max walked up Calhoun St where there was a food and wine event with a Top Chef show down. We were all excited until we found out that the event was for 21 and up. Paisley, who loves cooking shows and loves trying new foods, was most disappointed to know that she couldn't see a real chef in action and try their food.  We changed our plans and headed down King St. for some sandwiches and Ice Cream, and then we headed back to the marina when we saw Society St. We wore Max out. He fell asleep at 5:00pm and didn't move until 7:30am.

 We headed to the Aquarium on Sunday. The Albino Alligator was moving all around the tank. The Jellies below are Lion's mane jellyfish that the kids helped round up when some Aquarium volunteers came down our dock with buckets and nets. The jellies have grown 4 times their size in a month!
