Clearwater to Bradenton to Clearwater

We headed out into a fog bank on New Years Eve to meet up with a flotilla of four other boats out in Boca Ciega Bay. We would be half way to Twin Dolphin Marina in Bradenton to complete our loop on New Years Day. We had six bridges to go under. Thankfully, we fit under all of the bridges!

Lady Enna( The Metro family) and Sea Mist( Rusty and Scott) were our anchor points, Inconceivable rafted up with Island Cat(The Swaim Family) and a Carver Voyager( Dan and Brian) rafted off of Sea Mist.  The Clark family was aboard Lady Enna as well. There were 10 kids present to ring in the New Year.  Kai and Luca Swain, Jacob, Jordan, Jackson, Julia Clark, Nicholas and Eileen Metro along with Sabastian and Paisley Fallon.

New Years Day. The weather forecast called for smooth water and a few fog banks.

Matt  took a few of the kids over to the Gulfport Beach for some fun. At 1:00pm our group dispersed and we set off for Twin Dolphin! A beautiful day to cruise the last leg of our Loop.

There were lots of boaters out enjoying the nice weather on New Years Day.

Snead Island Boat Yard, where we inspected Inconceivable three years ago.

Twin Dolphin Marina! We crossed our wake. We met up with the Hackney Family aboard S/V Take Two( Jay and Tanya with Eli, Aaron, Sarah, Sam and Rachel). Most of the kids went for a dip in the pool and then we had a pizza party. Andrew was having some fun throwing the ball to Sabastian and Eli.

Our Loop trip was 6396 from Twin Dolphin Marina June 18 2009- Jan 1, 2012.

Jan 2, 2012 we head back to Clearwater, FL. The winds were gusting up to 28 knots. The waves were 1-2 feet at the mouth of the Tampa Bay. When we tucked up behind Mullet Key the waves calmed down to a    small chop. The windsurfers were out having fun between Mullet Key and Indian Key.

We reached Clearwater Beach as the sun was setting at 5:45pm. We were docked before the 35 knot winds kicked in an hour later.

Now that our Loop is over we are going to enjoy the greater Tampa area for the rest of the winter. We will post when we move again. Stay tune for our next adventure.
