We left Treasure Island early Friday morning for a nice long weekend on the hook to celebrate Andrew's Birthday.
Sunset Friday night.
Saturday morning we went out on the dingy to do some fishing and take a close look at the sand bars. We saw lots of scallop shells.
Andrew decided to do some fishing from the sand bar and spotted a small sting ray. None of the fish we caught were keepers but we had a blast.
We headed to shore for lunch and then headed across the street to St. Pete Beach to throw the Frisbee and football around.
Our first time being on the hook with the gold burgee.
Saturday night St. Pete Beach had a firework display and it was a great way to end the night.
Andrew and the kids coming back from a trip to the grocery store on Sunday.
The boat ahead of us knew how to do a courtesy pass since he gave us one. However, he almost swamped two of the boats to their port side! Everyone aboard the pontoon boat were soaking wet after they got passed. Inexcusable etiquette! He was in a hurry to get to the bridge and wait for a bridge lift. We slowed down and made sure everyone got a courteous pass from us and were ok before we moved on.
We made it back to Treasure Island.
Sabastian and Paisley made and decorated Andrew's birthday cake. The kids are really getting good at decorating.
Happy Birthday Andrew! Miss you guys, hope we meet again soon. We will return to our tug in Dunedin after Feb 6, probably stay there until sometime in March.
