Paisley's entry on The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon

Sabastian, Mom, and I went to the Dungeon. We all went on a tour. The tour guide walked us around the dungeon. She said, "The Revolutionary War began in Charleston, S.C.." We also saw a copy of the Declaration of Independence. My brother and I even tried on a replica of the Red Coat Jacket and Tri-Cornered Hat.

Paisley's entry on Pittsburgh

One Friday morning my family drove up to Pittsburgh. In 12 hours we made it. The next morning we all ate breakfast. At precisely 2:00 we went to The Pretzel Shop and then we ate lunch. At 4:30 pm we went to my cousin's house. We had so much fun. I had not seen my cousins for two years. We had pizza and for desert we had cupcakes. We finished up diner and we played for a while. Then we had to go back to the hotel to get ready for the big game the next day.

Charleston Light on Sullivan's Island,SC

This past Saturday we were watching the morning news when we saw a news reporter talking about how the Sullivan Light would be open to the public for a few hours today. Since, we had not visited a lighthouse before we all decided that this would be an excellent plan for the day. The Sullivan Lighthouse was the last major lighthouse to be built in the United States. It was commissioned on June 15,1962. Architect Jack Graham did not design a lighthouse in the traditional circular shape, instead it is 3 sided. In 1989 Hurricane Hugo had wind gusts up to 125 mph and the lighthouse demonstrated its ability to withstand such wind gusts.
All four of us enjoyed the views of the island from the 4th floor observation area. It was a gorgeous clear day to see the beauty of Sullivan's Island.

Paisley's entry on The Charleston Light House

We all got in the car to go to the light house. We got there a few minutes early so we ran up and down the hill. We also went for a walk on the beach. Soon it was time for us to go into the lighthouse. We stood in line for a minute. Then we went upstairs into an electronics room. Then we went up some more stair. The lighthouse of S.C. is a triangle. I had fun at the lighthouse.
I had so much fun at Jesses house. We met the Hudson's at Skate Nation. We played hide and go seek and tag while skating. The next thing we did was got to Jesse's house and played with Legos for thirty minutes then we went across the street to a friends for dinner. There were about 10 families in all that went caroling around  the Meadow Farms subdivision. After caroling we went back to the neighbors house and ate deserts and played some more. That is why I had fun at Jesses house.

Paisley's entry on Fort Sumter

Yesterday, we went to Fort Sumter. Sabastian and I wanted to be a Junior Ranger. Both of us got a sheet and a pencil. We boarded the ferry. We answered some questions of the ferry. After 30 minutes we finally made it to Fort Sumter. We looked around and answered some questions. On the ferry ride back we answered more questions and finished up our fact finding sheet. We received our badges.

Sabastian's entry on Pittsburgh

I had a lot of fun going to Pittsburgh but it took 12 hrs to get there.  The next morning we all woke up and took our showers. We drove around the city of Pittsburgh. We stopped at The Pretzel Shop and a Mexican restaurant for lunch. We went over to my cousin Colleen and Scott's house for dinner. I played Bey Blade with my cousins Ryan and Cam. Then we went back to the hotel. The next day we got in to all of our Steelers gear and headed out for breakfast at Eat N Park. We bought some of their famous Steeler Cookies for the Super Bowl Party at Uncle Tommy and Aunt Bev's House. We watched the Super Bowl but, sadly we lost.  The next morning we left to go to our boat. I had so much fun at the Super Bowl Party. It was lots of fun to see all of my cousins.

Baby Greens

Stat Board
The four of us visited the Aquarium and the turtle hospital last weekend.  Even though, it was an extra fee to go behind the scene to see the turtles up close it was totally worth it, and all proceeds go toward the care of the turtles. They had a tank full of baby turtles that hatched sometime in December, which is very rare. The babies were released back out in the ocean at some point last week. The hospital had 3 different types of turtles for us to see Loggerheads, Greens, and Kemp's Ridley.
The kids also enjoyed the touch tank, the river otters, the octopus, and seeing an albino Alligator, which Sabastian thought was fake.
